Sagar Matharu brings an evidence-based, 1-on-1 approach to physical recovery and human movement at Near Me Therapy. His academic foundation began at Douglas College with a Diploma in Sport Science, followed by a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of the Fraser Valley (UFV). He went on to earn his Master of Science in Physiotherapy from the University of Worcester in the United Kingdom, gaining extensive hands-on clinical experience across diverse hospital and outpatient orthopedic settings.

Sagar’s passion for physical rehabilitation was forged on the pitch playing high-level competitive soccer. Experiencing athletic injuries firsthand gave him a deep appreciation for human biomechanics, physical resilience, and the recovery process. Today, he combines manual joint mobilization, Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS), and targeted movement therapy to help patients recover from acute sports injuries, chronic spinal stiffness, and motor vehicle accidents. Outside the clinic, Sagar stays active golfing, boxing, playing pickleball, and training in the gym.

  • ICBC Kinesiology: Seamlessly transitioning acute injury recovery into strength building and active rehab with Harman Bains.
